The Muscle
Car Ranch is the backdrop for the 17th Annual Muscle
Car Ranch Swap Meet & Concert. The Muscle Car Ranch represents
nostalgic Americana that has been gathered, collected, preserved
and installed over the past 25 years. The 1900's Dairy Farm with
the original barns still standing are decorated inside and out
with porcelain signs and petrolinia. A natural bowl shaped
meadow surrounded by the barns makes up the Trail Boss
Amphitheater.
The Amphitheater has been host to 14 years of Rock & Roll hall
of fame groups such as the Byrds, Grass Roots, Paul Revere & the
Raiders, Jefferson Airplane, The Lovin’ Spoonful, FireFall, John
Conlee, Dr Hook and Bad Company. This year Muscle Car Ranch
entertainment starts at 1:00 p.m. on sat with a range of acts to
be announced.
The unique Muscle Car Ranch Swap Meet is surrounded by towering
vintage neon and porcelain signs which creates an atmosphere
that is conducive to the buying and selling of rare cars, car
parts, and nostalgic memorabilia. Camping this venue is almost a
requirement. Nestled around “Horsepower Ponds” are a variety of
very clean porcelain block and cobble stone showers and
restrooms, grills dot the shore line and fishing is excellent.
As the main act hits the stage, a large bon fire is lit In the
middle of our large horseshoe ponds, this along with the vintage
lighting makes the evening almost magical.
Some of the featured landmarks are 100’s of signs from our
countries past 75 years. There is a Body By Fisher Napoleonic
Coach sign at our main entrance, the only two left in the world
are here at the ranch, a 30 foot porcelain neon Chevrolet Bow
Tie sign, of which only 4 were made for GM, both are porcelain
and from the early 40’s. The huge Clock Inn Motel sign from
Route 66 in OKC, at 4000 pounds and 15 foot across, it is a huge
clock and pendulum swings from side to side. The Patio Charcoal
Hamburger Sign From NW 50’th and Classen in OKC stands 50 feet
above a Chickasha land mark, Brees Diner which was in operation
in the 40’s across from the Oklahoma College for Women, now
nestled in the cottonwoods at the back of the first 40 acres.
There are some new additions to the Ranch this year including
another historic landmark from Oklahoma City, the 36 foot tall
Redskin Theatre marquee from 29th & Western 1930’s
theatre, recent acquisition of a unique Maverick Motel sign from
the 50’s should also grace our entrance.
So we invite
you to join us underneath the cottonwoods on the shore of the
Horsepower Ponds, next to Camaro Canyon, right down the way from
Toronado Terrace overlooking the Nick Hart State Park and just
in sight of The Trail Boss Amphitheatre. We guarantee you, your
friends and family will enjoy your favorite weekend here at the
Muscle Car Ranch. We offer 50 acres of free parking. Let us host
your next event. Hope to see you this year August 17-20 for our
17th Annual Swap Meet & Concert.
